2025 kicks off to a flying start with a planning approval for our Three Houses in Enfield
Happy New Year; 2025 kicks off to a flying start with a planning approval for our Three Houses in Enfield project.
Previously heading for likely planning refusal, the client approached Common Ground Workshop to completely rethink the scheme from scratch, requiring an exceptionally quick turnaround and an exemplary design approach, situated within a predominately post-war housing context.
Working closely with the client, consultants and duty planner we produced 3 terraced houses designed to house up to 12 residents, including four parking spaces, ground and first floor amenity and high-quality contemporary interiors.
Enfield Council praised the project for supporting local housing targets by offering a fresh, contemporary addition to the local streetscape while preserving the area’s character and promoting a sense of community.
The scheme will now serve as a benchmark for future development within the Borough; a testament to the value of maintaining a high-quality design approach, even in the most challenging circumstances.
If you’re facing similar challenges with a development site at any scale and would like to discuss how we can help to better indemnify a planning approval please get in touch.
Common Ground Workshop are now open for 2025 so please contact us if you’d like to discuss this or another development project involving challenging planning constraints.
