We create distinctive, thoughtful and collaborative responses for the built environment.

About Us

At Common Ground Workshop, every project begins with a fresh perspective. Our work is never a copy-paste exercise; We develop bespoke responses to the unique context, challenges, and opportunities of each site.

Whether working on a compact urban plot or a sprawling masterplan, our scalable methodology ensures a tailored and design-led approach that delivers exceptional results.

As highly creative problem solvers, we specialize in unlocking the full potential and character of new sites, commercial spaces and existing buildings. From being part of the Landsec framework to redefine retail environments, to navigating challenging urban and rural site contexts within London and the wider UK, we thrive where others might see constraints.

Our collaborative process engages the entire team, with every project benefiting from the diverse perspectives and expertise of our talented staff.

We don’t just design concepts; we create built solutions. Working across all RIBA work stages, we ensure our designs are not only visionary but also practical and buildable.

We deliver exceptional outcomes across a range of sectors:

  • Homeowner: Singles houses and property development, to interior renovation and alterations at a range of scales
  • Residential: From bespoke interiors and Passivhaus projects to multi-residential and mixed-use developments.
  • Commercial Interiors: Including workplace, leisure, retail, and hospitality design.
  • Heritage: Breathing new life into historic homes and commercial renovations.
  • Placemaking: Creating vibrant, people-focused environments that enhance community and connection.
  • Hybrid Design: Developing innovative designs and re-imagining alternative uses for existing spaces that blend multiple operators or functions into cohesive ecosystems.
