Common Ground Workshop Wins Liv Awards’ Cocktail Bar Category

Common Ground Workshop are very pleased to announce that our Homeboy Bar in Nine Elms has won the interior design Cocktail bar category Liv Awards

The LIV hospitality design awards recognize excellence in hospitality architecture, interior design and guest experience, on a global scale. We are delighted to have won this year after receiving an honourable mention in 2021 for our ‘Unit 6 Embassy Gardens’ scheme in the awards’ inaugural year.

The project’sbrief called for the existing space to be fully overhauled and re-fitted with a palate of materials traditionally found in Irish bars and restaurants, interpreted into a contemporary palate of modern materials and motifs. The front of house space is articulated by a continuous timber clad bar with an extensive visible bottle display and multiple cocktail mixing stations, where customers can interact with staff and experience the process and theatre of cocktail mixology. Hospitality is at the heart of the design and spatial experience, and the perimeter of the unit is punctuated with leather banquet and loose seating, curtains and intimate sung spaces with dimmable bespoke mood lighting and contemporary Irish interior decoration.

Congratulations to the team for their exceptionally hard work.
